1stMILE financing with LendPro

1stMILE is an auto service financing platform whose automated credit matching routes one checkout application for auto service, tire and repair shops, and since August 27, 2026, LendPro's multi-lender platform sits behind it. Repairs are rarely planned, and a single decline or a short approval often means the job gets deferred.

What does the LendPro and 1stMILE partnership add?

1stMILE runs automated credit matching at checkout for auto service, tire and repair shops. Since August 27, 2026, LendPro's multi-lender platform sits behind 1stMILE's automated credit matching.

  • One application, a larger lender panel. The customer applies once at checkout.
  • Prime, near prime and No Credit Needed coverage. A single decline does not have to end the process.
  • Configured for each shop. The shop chooses its lenders and routing setting. LendPro uses a financing flow configured for each location based on the lenders assigned to that location and the requirements of those programs. Contact LendPro to review configuration changes.
  • Offers checked against the ticket. In its checkout, 1stMILE checks approval amounts against the estimated repair ticket.
  • More programs in checkout. Through the 1stMILE partnership, merchants also gain access to additional card and installment programs through 1stMILE checkout, alongside LendPro's network of 18+ lenders and 25+ lending programs.
  • Soft-pull pre-qualification. Where the provider supports pre-qualification, it uses a soft pull and won't affect credit scores. A lender may run a hard inquiry if the shopper accepts an offer.
  • Store notifications and reporting. LendPro notifies the shop when a customer applies, and results appear in LendPro reporting.

In auto service, Midas is a LendPro partner, and AAMCO franchisees work with LendPro through the National AAMCO Dealers Association. See partners.

How does it work at the counter?

  1. The advisor writes the estimate. For example, front brakes, rotors and two tires.
  2. The customer applies once. At the counter, from a text, from a QR code, or earlier on the shop's service page.
  3. The application reaches the lenders. By default, one application goes to several lenders at once, or in the order configured for the shop with the traditional waterfall setting.
  4. 1stMILE checks each amount against the estimate. If a pre-qualified amount covers the ticket, the customer can select that offer.
  5. The customer completes the provider's full application. Final approval comes from the provider. The customer agrees to its terms, and the repair order moves forward.

Why does approval-to-ticket matching matter?

In auto service, an approval that does not cover the repair is close to a decline. A customer approved for less than the estimate has to cut the job, find cash for the gap, or leave the car unrepaired.

Step Single lender 1stMILE with LendPro lenders
Estimate $1,800 repair $1,800 repair
Application One lender reviews Several lenders review at once by default, or in the shop's configured order with the traditional waterfall setting
First result Pre-qualified for $1,000 One lender pre-qualifies $1,000, short of the ticket
Next step Customer defers part of the work 1stMILE checks amounts against the estimate; another lender's pre-qualified offer is $1,800
Result $1,000 job, or the car leaves Customer selects the $1,800 offer and completes that provider's full application for final approval

Illustrative example. Pre-qualified amounts are subject to each lender's final approval. Each lender sets its own amounts and terms.

An approval matters only when it gives the customer enough purchasing power to move forward.

Where can customers apply?

Entry point When it is used
Shop website and service pages Before the visit, while the customer researches a repair
Text message After the inspection, when the advisor calls with the estimate
QR code At the counter, in the lobby or on the estimate
In the shop At checkout, on a counter device

Offer financing before final checkout. A customer who knows the payment before approving the estimate can approve the whole job instead of part of it.

How big is the 1stMILE network?

1stMILE reports more than 17,000 automotive locations in its ecosystem and $622 million in financed repair orders a year across its network. LendPro's multi-lender platform sits behind 1stMILE's automated credit matching.

What does 1stMILE say about lost approvals?

"Every approval we can't get is a repair that doesn't get performed."Rob Murphy, Vice President of Credit Services, 1stMILE

Every deferred brake job or transmission repair is lost revenue for the shop and a safety problem for the driver. A deeper lender panel can give more customers a path to an offer.

How do 1stMILE shops get started?

  1. Talk to your 1stMILE representative. LendPro's multi-lender platform is part of 1stMILE checkout.
  2. Choose your financing order. Tell your representative which lender you prefer first and where near prime and No Credit Needed options sit; changes can be limited by lender agreements and program requirements.
  3. Turn on your entry points. Service pages, text, QR codes and the counter.
  4. Train advisors to offer financing on the estimate, not only when the customer balks at the total.
  5. Review central reporting to see which lenders approve your customers, and request configuration changes as needed.

Additional integration options may be available for specific needs. Discuss your workflow, required data, and implementation requirements with LendPro during an integration call.

Not on 1stMILE? LendPro also serves tire and auto shops directly. See tire shop and auto repair financing and TireBoost, Powered by LendPro.

What should shops watch?

  • Lease-to-own in the shop. Some No Credit Needed options are lease-to-own. Lease-to-own is a rental-purchase agreement, not a loan. Total cost is higher than the cash price. Rental-purchase generally covers goods such as tires, not repair labor.
  • No Credit Needed wording. The provider's full application may include a check with the credit bureaus or alternative credit sources.
  • Availability. Each lender sets its own approval criteria and terms. Availability varies by retailer, state and purchase.
  • Offer the payment early. A customer who hears about financing only at pickup has already decided what to defer.

Related: waterfall financing, newsroom. LendPro is not a lender. Lenders make all credit decisions and set all terms.
