STORIS financing integration

The LendPro STORIS financing integration embeds LendPro 2.0 in STORIS ERP and NextGen, so associates run LendPro financing with prime, near prime and lease-to-own options without leaving the point of sale. It replaces a stack of lender portals and retyped applications with one application, one screen and one set of reports.

Associates reach the lenders configured for the store, from LendPro's network of 18+ lenders and 25+ lending programs, from the sale screen; eSTORIS is planned, so online STORIS checkout is not live today. LendPro is not a lender. Lenders make all credit decisions and set all terms.

Key takeaways

  • LendPro 2.0 is embedded in STORIS ERP and NextGen, and eSTORIS is planned, so online STORIS checkout is not live today.
  • Associates apply, finalize, transact and process returns and exchanges in one LendPro portal for most lenders in the network.
  • First Right of Refusal applies on the See If You Pre-Qualify path when the retailer uses the traditional waterfall setting.
  • LendPro configures the lender lineup and routing setting for each location, and the go-live SLA is 10 business days, with timing confirmed during onboarding.

What does the LendPro STORIS integration do?

  • One application inside STORIS. LendPro 2.0 runs in STORIS ERP and NextGen, launched from the sale. eSTORIS is planned.
  • One lineup for every credit tier. Prime, near prime and lease-to-own options, sent to several lenders at once or in the traditional waterfall order configured for each location.
  • No lender portal hopping. Associates apply, finalize, transact and process returns and exchanges in the LendPro portal for most lenders in the network, without re-entering the customer's information.
  • Reporting by lender, store and associate. Daily Applications, Sales Performance and Approval Rates reports, with associate results when Employee Tracking is on.
  • First Right of Refusal (FROR) support. On the See If You Pre-Qualify path with the traditional waterfall setting, your preferred lender reviews first.
  • In-store flexibility. The customer can complete the application on a store tablet or their own phone, or the associate can complete it with the customer in a browser tab.

Where the provider supports pre-qualification, it uses a soft pull and won't affect credit scores. A lender may run a hard inquiry if the shopper accepts an offer.

Can associates handle the whole sale in one LendPro portal?

Yes. LendPro 2.0 in STORIS connects the LendPro portal to STORIS so associates handle the full sale in one place:

  • Apply. Launch one application from the STORIS sale and see offers from the lenders in your lineup.
  • Buy. Finalize the sale in LendPro: invoice, e-sign in store or by text or email link, and settlement on delivery.
  • Transact. Run the financed transaction from the same portal, with results tied back to the STORIS sale.
  • Return and exchange. Process returns and exchanges in the LendPro portal instead of in each lender's system.

Associates do not log into each lender's portal to complete the sale or handle a return or exchange.

Cancel and refund in the LendPro portal is available for most lenders in the network; a few providers still require the provider's portal for cancellations and refunds.

How does financing work inside STORIS?

  1. The associate builds the sale in STORIS. The customer has picked a sectional and a mattress, and the ticket is ready.
  2. The associate launches the LendPro application from the sale. The customer chooses See If You Pre-Qualify or, when the store offers it, No Credit Needed, or uses Lookup Application to return to an application started on your website.
  3. Lenders review in the routing setting configured for your location. LendPro uses a financing flow configured for each location based on the lenders assigned to that location and the requirements of those programs. Contact LendPro to review configuration changes. By default, several lenders review at once and pre-qualified offers show side by side. With the traditional waterfall setting, your first-position lender reviews first (honoring FROR), then secondary lenders after a decline, then No Credit Needed.
  4. The customer selects an offer. The provider's confirmation shows the available limit. The customer completes that provider's full application, agrees to its terms and submits.
  5. The associate finalizes the sale in LendPro. Enter the invoice, have the customer e-sign in store or by text or email link, and process settlement on delivery.
  6. Results return to STORIS. Offer and application details sync back to the sale so the associate can finish the ticket.

What changes when financing moves inside STORIS?

Task Lender portals outside the POS LendPro 2.0 inside STORIS
Applications per customer One per lender tried One application reaches the lenders in your lineup
Data entry Retyped into each portal Entered once
After a prime decline Associate decides whether to try another lender Routed to another applicable lender in your lineup, if one is available
Routing Depends on the associate Chosen by the retailer and configured by LendPro for each location: several lenders at once, or the traditional waterfall order
Returns and exchanges Handled in each lender's portal Processed in the LendPro portal for most lenders
Reporting A separate report from each lender Daily Applications, Sales Performance and Approval Rates in one portal
Credit tiers Whatever portals the store has open Prime, near prime and lease-to-own

Lease-to-own is a rental-purchase agreement, not a loan. Total cost is higher than the cash price.

How does First Right of Refusal (FROR) work with LendPro?

Some furniture retailers have an agreement that gives one lender, often a private label card or bank program, the first chance to approve customers. A multi-lender platform that ignores that agreement creates a problem with your most important lender.

LendPro supports FROR on the See If You Pre-Qualify path when the retailer uses the traditional waterfall setting. On that path, your preferred lender reviews the application first, and other lenders in your lineup review only the applications it declines. Shoppers who choose No Credit Needed skip the primary lenders, so FROR does not apply there. Confirm how your FROR terms map to your settings during setup.

What reports do finance managers get?

The LendPro merchant portal has a Dashboard, Search, Orders and three reports, all exportable to CSV:

  • Daily Applications. Applications by location, associate and initial lender.
  • Sales Performance. Results by store, associate and customer.
  • Approval Rates. Lenders side by side: pre-qual and full-app approval rates, average approval and totals by location.
  • Associate results. Shown when Employee Tracking is turned on, so training goes where it is needed.

Finance teams can run their own analysis on the CSV export, for example comparing locations on large tickets.

How do STORIS retailers get started?

  1. Book a call. Schedule a LendPro demo and tell us which STORIS platform you run.
  2. List your current lenders and agreements. Include any FROR terms so your settings honor them.
  3. Choose lenders and a routing setting. Many retailers keep their current prime lender, then add near prime and lease-to-own from LendPro's 18+ lenders and 25+ lending programs.
  4. Confirm your configuration. LendPro configures the financing flow for each location; review your lender mix for your ticket sizes with LendPro.
  5. Train the floor. Show associates how to launch the application from the sale, present offers with lender names and terms, and finalize the sale in LendPro.
  6. Go live and review reports. LendPro's go-live SLA is 10 business days. Timing depends on lender activation and integration scope, and custom integrations take longer. LendPro confirms the start date and prerequisites during onboarding. Check the Approval Rates report and work with LendPro on any lineup changes.

Additional integration options may be available for specific needs. Discuss your workflow, required data, and implementation requirements with LendPro during an integration call.

What should STORIS retailers watch?

  • Lender enablement. Each lender must be enabled for your account and location. Availability varies by state.
  • Offer presentation. Present offers with lender name and terms, offer the No Credit Needed path when the customer asks for it, and let the customer choose. A pre-qualified amount is subject to the lender's final approval.
  • Lease-to-own disclosures. Lease-to-own is a rental-purchase agreement, not a loan. Total cost is higher than the cash price.
  • Returns for every lender. When you evaluate any platform, ask whether purchases, returns and exchanges are handled inside the platform for every lender, or whether associates must log into each lender's portal. In LendPro, cancel and refund are available for most lenders in the network; a few providers still require the provider's portal for cancellations and refunds. See how to choose a financing platform.

Frequently asked questions

Does LendPro integrate with STORIS?

Yes. LendPro 2.0 is embedded in STORIS ERP and NextGen. eSTORIS is planned.

Can I process returns and exchanges in LendPro instead of each lender's portal?

Yes, for most lenders. In the LendPro portal connected to STORIS, associates apply, finalize the sale, transact and process returns and exchanges in one place. Cancel and refund in the LendPro portal is available for most lenders in the network; a few providers still require the provider's portal for cancellations and refunds.

What financing can I offer through STORIS with LendPro?

Prime, near prime and lease-to-own options from the lenders configured for your store, drawn from LendPro's network of 18+ lenders and 25+ lending programs. Lease-to-own is a rental-purchase agreement, not a loan. Total cost is higher than the cash price.

What is FROR in retail financing?

First Right of Refusal is an agreement that gives one lender the first chance to approve an application. In LendPro, it applies on See If You Pre-Qualify with the traditional waterfall setting, and that lender's declines go to the rest of your lineup.

Does the customer apply more than once?

One application reaches the lenders in your lineup. A customer who wants a higher amount after an approval starts a new application. Where the provider supports pre-qualification, it uses a soft pull and won't affect credit scores. A lender may run a hard inquiry if the shopper accepts an offer.

Do I need custom development?

STORIS retailers use the embedded integration rather than building their own. LendPro configures your lenders and routing setting for each location.
